PRINTED CIRCUIT DESIGN SERVICES

We can accommodate single and multilayered printed circuit boards (currently as many as 10 layers), high density circuit card assemblies, hybrids and printed wiring boards.  Our expertise extends to clock frequencies and bus speeds in excess of 500 MHz (and 250 Mbps).

CTI printed circuit designers are currently utilizing CADdrawsPC (Copyright 2000), recognized as one of the finest layout and schematic tools available for printed circuit board design and schematic capture.  CADdrawsPC delivers a "blockbuster" suite of functionality that at one time was only available with the high horsepower engineering work stations. The CADdraw system consists of two (2) primary modules, a schematic entry module and PCB layout module.  CADdrawPCB system utilizes a common Graphical Object Editor (GOE) which accommodates a three-tiered device library in addition to the two (2) primary modules.  CADdrawsPCB allows “dimming” of various board layers while viewing them on the work station monitor, rendering them opaque, resulting in the ability to view other layers unobstructed.  CADdrawsPCB allows 3-dimensional viewing of the circuit board.  We can review the circuit board with your design team with all the components appearing in real 3-D viewing before the drawings and drill tapes go on to fabrication.  Observing the results of  possible layout errors or issues, the appropriate component placement, the correct height and size (footprint) of the part, and the desired component version, can result in considerable cost savings to you and your organization.   The ability to make crucial corrections before the printed circuit boards are "fabbed" can most likely save the design team weeks in "hunting down" and finding the right component substitutions or replacements.  At the  minimum, we should be able to salvage a cost savings of the prototype build by at least a “pass” or two.  With the current and escalating expense of PCB fabrication, this may easily result in a savings of tens of thousands of dollars.

We provide full service printed circuit board design services: generating the necessary prints, plots, and files required for today's high-tech and paperless computer-aided-design (CAD) environments*.  Our printed circuit design process typically encompasses all of the steps indicated below.  Any or all of the files generated during the course of the design process are available in the design file package presented to the customer at the conclusion of the collaboration.
